How my Garmin watch helped me get through a terrible week of sleep

Just like everyone who enjoys exercising outdoors, I really enjoy summer, but it also comes with its challenges. It’s too hot to train outside for long periods, for example, unless you’re getting up to beat the heat. But it’s the nighttime heat—preventing me from sleeping—combined with my seasonal allergies that really put a damper on my training.

I have hay fever (a seasonal pollen allergy, if you don’t live in the UK), which means I wake up sneezing or stuffy nose, unable to breathe. I’m not normally a snorer, but the constant runny nose and wet cough mean my throat sounds (and feels) like a chainsaw. Fortunately, an underutilized feature on my best Garmin watch it helped me work my education around this particular issue.
